Hi!
My internet regularly drops out at the moment and orange light comes on hub. The solution seems to be to unplug/ reset everything which sometimes works other times just have to wait for it to come back on. CCTV, Heating and Alarm are all affected when this happens. Assume it is a faulty hub, not had it very long and never experienced issues with my last provider. Anyone have any advice/ solutions? Not prepared to keep resetting espescially give the other systems it affects when it goes down.
many thanks
James

Find out more@bevers83 tge internet light going amber indicates loss of connevction which is much more likely to be a line issuue than the hub.Depending on the type of connection you have the systems at the cabinet should manage variable conditions which connections over copper lines are subject to. Therefore Openreach often wont intervene until those systems cannot cope. If you post your hub's connection stats somebody should becablectontell you what is going on see Find your Sky Broadband router statistics
In most cases the hub should reconnect on its own without having to reboot. No isp can guarantee 100% uptime but you should not get disconnected regularly however a small number of copper lines can be flaky especially if the run is long and on overhead poles. The only solution will be to use fibre all the way which should be coming but when depends on where you are and Openreach's investment policy.

thanks for your reply @Chrisee . Think you may be on to something with the line issue. Never had a problem with previous provider but OpenReach did install new equipment when I switched to sky. I'll post my router stats later on, thanks for your help
