My first ever post !
I waited in all day for my full-fibre installation, which was scheduled for 1pm–6pm. The installer (not directly from Openreach but contracted by them) arrived at 6pm.
He couldn’t figure out where to drill the hole and then said it would be better to do it in daylight. My kitchen faces the front garden, and he said the drilling would need to happen there, meaning the router would have to be installed in the kitchen too.
Currently, I have my router in the corridor, just to the right of the kitchen door, which works well for my 3-bedroom house. Now I’m wondering if this installation is even worth it, as it doesn’t seem right to have the router in the kitchen.
Has anyone else had a similar issue? Any advice or thoughts?
