@Vincent24 to clarify therecis no imminent switch off of the copper network used for broadband however as full fibre coverage is rolled out ISPs like Sky are encouraging their customers to switch . The cablecyou havecbeen sent is to allow your current Sky hub to connect to the new Fibre ONT unit that will be fitted when the dnginerr installs the new connection. It cannot be used to connect to your current partial fibre service
