changed broadband provider and now sky q box wont connect to wifi

sky q and multiroom are having issues connecting to wifi,. i have had connection but it drops yet my speed in same room can be as high as 600gb and other devices are working.

 

we recently moved the sky q box and before had it as a wired connection. it is driving me up the wall as affects the omultiroom function and cant watch things like netflix on it.

@Dom if your Sky Q mini box is losing the connection  the problem is it is too far from your main Q box as the two do not use your homes wifi to connect unless you have a Sky hub as your router. Indeed having a strong wifi signal from a third party router is likely to make things worse not better.

 

The multiroom system uses a closed 5GHz signal generated by the main Q box that connects to  the router and the internet only using the 2.4GHz band. The Sky 5GHz signal uses ch36 to 52 so if your main router is using the same range the two will interfere. You can set the Q boxescto use ch36 to 44 or ch44 to 52 by going into the TV boxes engineering menu.
