ill try keep this short as i can,i joined in october my internet went live and it was shocking maxing out at 4megabits and i think the upload was 0.5 megabits , i rang and they said open reach needs to fix it as its a fauilt on the line the fibre bit at the cabinet ,i got dates and open reach never sorted it after weeks and weeks i just gave up , i then got an appoimtent for some reason for someone to come fit a new socket thingy, but noone came , slowly my internet speeds have been changing along with the noise margin witch has come down alot but its still not where it needs to be mainly the upload i need to upload a 1gb file to youtube and as you can see 3megabits will make it take a long time , can someone from skys team look at this and respond as i really dont feel well enough to make any phone calls i want the truth why i dont get the advertised speed that made me buy this package , as its improved onthe download speed by 10 times since my activation day so somethings going and while my first months bill was remided my second wasnt , im starting to think theres bandwith issues meaning open reach have over sold at the exchange and if so id like to be told that and my bill reduced permant untill its sorted , while the download is acceptable the upload is shocking sorry for the long post

The stats in your post show you bub is connected at 40,000 kb/s or 40 Mb/s not 4. You have a fairly long line. I am not sure which product you bought but that is the maximum sync rate for. Superfast 35. Your line has the potential to go faster probably 70Mb/s if you were on the 80Mb/s service.
When measuring speeds be careful about units network speeds are meaured in megabits (abbreviated as small b) while file size is measured in Megabytes (capital B) there are 8 bits in a byte. Therefore a 32Mb/s speed you can get on your new connection will equate to 4MB/s. Services like Steam quote speeds in MB/s while as I say all network spedds should be measured in Mb/s.

these are the stats on the day i signed up youll notice noise margin is higher then it is now and the speeds where very low , im on the 80megabits package , my speeds have obv got better since the first day but its still not acceptable as the upload is shocking , i also have issues with voice chat on the online game i play fornite with buzzing and lagging issues , i know its the sky broadband because if i use my phone mobile data as hotpsot no problems on voice chat , looks like ill just have to ring sky see whats going on

Find out moreThat's a reasonable decision in the circumstances: Virgin have the distinct advantage of owning and running their own private coaxial cable network rather than relying on ropey Openreach copper 'phone' lines which were never intended for data distribution.

Not forgetting the upgrades to their network bring full FTTH which where I live are lucky to be on the new service.
