cam call and email regarding discounted broadband
I received a call on my mobile (which sounded like a very busy call centre) claiming to be from sky offering me a discount on They then said i would receive another email with a six digit code. I received an email to back up email address from the genuine sky giving me a six digit code to RESET MY PASSWORD! As soon as I challenged them and accused them of trying to scam me, they hung up the phone. I have reported the number to Sky and Ofcom. The worry is that they are doing this to hundreds of people as it was a busy call centre!

You've done all you can by notifying Sky. Hopefully you didn't give out any personal or account information.

Re: cam call and email regarding discounted broadband
I had exact,y the same thing today. The caller knew the last 3 digits of my phone no and the last 2 digits of my bank account no, and my address. They also changed my password ( but I have changed it again since). When told I had problems with my Sky Q offered a 20% discount on my payments and knew what I am currently paying. Also said he would set up an engineer visit to sort out my issues. Wanted to cancel present direct debit and set up a new one. Wanted me to 'confirm' my account no and sort code. At that point I refused to give any more info. At some point he had me confirm my Mothers maiden name so I may have given that away in a fishing scam.
How did you inform Sky of your experience ? I have not found any way of doing so.

Re: cam call and email regarding discounted broadband
Funny, they called me again to try their luck but I played along until I said, you are going to ask me for my email address and then a code. Told him if he was from sky then he should know my email address and how much my bills are!
I searched on sky help for scam calls etc and it give you an option to report these calls.
if you did give them details, then I would contact sky customer service as well and maybe your bank.
