broadband lag

i've been experiencing packet loss and wifi lag, i've got an ethernet cable in but when i take it out it's even worse, i've run tests on the sky website and apparently it's good, i rang them this morning they said it's no issues i've got my wifi box on a cabinet nothing is in the way of it, does anyone know what to do and how to fix?

I'm having the same problem here in SW London

Sky diagnostic check says I'm getting 29mbs download speed but my speed checker on 3 devices says I'm only getting 1.39Mbs

The TV wont stream and You tube can bearly download a short podcast so the Sky check is obviously wrong.

They bumped me to this forum for help!

i'm getting 59mb but i'm getting 40-50ping with like 20-30 packet loss, i was with talk talk before this and they done a better job

I ended up unplugging everything again and a fter a while put it all back together and rebooted the router.

All good

So often the best solution !

My rental still has copper cable into the house so I can't get super fast but 35Mps works fine for my needs

it's really bad in the nights, through the day it happens now and again but when it comes around 8-9pm it gets worse, i'm just gonna ring sky in the morning to find out what the issue is but thanks for the help guys!
