Yealink T46U - connected via Ethernet cable not receiving or making calls

My yealink work phone is no longer working at home when I connect it via the Ethernet cable. It shows that it has connection and looks as though it should be working but doesn't make out going alls or receive incoming calls. Nothing has changed with the set up at home and has been working fine for the past 11 months (when I was allowed to work from home once a week). I can see other people are reporting the same issue. How do I resolve this?
