Xbox keeps having strict Nat.

My xbox keeps switching between open nat and strict nat on the sky wifi max hub. I put the xbox up address 8nto the dmz on sky app but it doesn't help solve it. Please help as I'm considering leaving sky.

@Palm886 no point in leaving Sky as the issue is not likely to be being caused by the hub or the connection. Issues with xbox NAT types come up frequently and MS have this help ,page https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/hardware-network/connect-network/xbox-one-nat-error Sky fully support IP6 so the issue should not be not be related to IP6 tunnelling.

However note the section about turning on UPnP which is off be default on the white Sky hubs. The setting for those is in the web inerface not the My Sky app this link explains how to activate it UPnP set up

Re: Xbox keeps having strict Nat.

I have reset to factory default the router and xbox. Nat type is still strict.

If I place my console in dmz which I shouldn't have to I get open nat but only for so long. About 2 days then it reverts back to strict nat.

Re: Xbox keeps having strict Nat.

Could it be the A.I or something else sky use on the network causing issues?

Re: Xbox keeps having strict Nat.

Seem to be having a similar issue, also only with ethernet connected. If im in wireless it works and it sometimes works if I take the ethernet cable out and plug it in, but this rarely works. Not very technical but when the ethernet is connected to my PC, the ethernet port lights have to be orange and red for the xbox to work, if these lights on the PC's ethernet ports are green and orange, the ethernet will not work in the xbox. Seems to be a very silly issue with sky internet at the moment
