Wrong cable for Wi-Fi

Hi I just received my sky broadband and unable to connect to the socket in my house because the socket is a phone socket and the yellow cable doesn't fit

That suggests you are due to get an FTTP installation.

 

If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.
