Working from home

I recently had Sky broadband installed. Our previous network router was in the lounge and worked fine all through the house., but the engineer who came to install your router has had to install it upstairs in my sons bedroom, subsequently when working from home on my laptop I am frequently thrown out of my laptop as no signal downstairs, it is the same for our iPhones as well.
I work from home most days and this is causing quite a lot of interruptions with my work.
please can you advise?

You haven’t contacted Sky by posting here. This is a customer ▶️ customer discussion forum where we try to help other customers.

Did the engineer say why it had to be moved upstairs?

Sky broadband being discussed here is a domestic service and whilst it's fine for those customers working from home to use it, they won’t receive additional or quicker support.

Re: Working from home

@MerryMug You can move the sky Hub down to were you need it by using a longer Ethernet cable from the ONT, the sky one is only a couple off metre's in length!
