Working broadband without sky router

Hi,

I've switched to Sky from TalkTalk. I previously had Eero routers plugged in, and my activation for sky was yesterday.

When i got home yesterday and before plugging my sky router in, my broadband was working and still was today.

I planned on using the sky router and Eero devices as extenders, but do I need to even use the sky router if my old ones are working? It saves re logging in on everything.

Seperately, if I can stay with my old routers, will I still receive the same speed as my package is (c.900mb)

If it's working, haven't you answered your own question? What speed to the first Eero is being reported?

You won't be able to use the home landline though and if you need technical help, they'll need the Sky hub plugging in as they won't touch the Eero. Keep the Sky hub safe as they'll want it back  if you change supplier down the line.

Thanks for your reply and good point, I probably have answered...its certainly easier not needing to change network on every device.

Speed wise, in all cases I'm getting 550mb to 600mb when speed testing on my phone or laptop. However speed test via the eero app and I get pretty much 1gb. Clearly my line is delivering what it should, that is just lower on devices due to general WiFi interference.

I'm going to take the sky hub out.
