Work VPN won’t connect

Hello,

 

Two weeks ago my work VPN was ok, no problems. Last week, it would not connect so I asked our IT support man to reset my password, he did it twice.

 

He logged in as me from his work computer and could not see any issues.

 

I have reset the hub, disabled the broadband shield and the VPN still won't connect. What could be blocking the connection?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

If it helps, I am using a Mac and accessing a windows server which has worked well before.

@Oliver46 if you have a white Sky hub read the post pinned at the top of the thread.

 

Otherwise a poor wifi connection will impact use of a vpn as the connection requires a responsecto keep alive messges so if you are suffering packet loss that can cause issues.ideally usexa wired connection from the hub to the Mac you use for  work or look into improving the WiFi connection.

Hi Chris,

 

I have the black WiFi hub, we have only had it since early June this year. My wife's vpn connection is fine, she works for another company.
