@poohbear68

'FTTP is not available'

So unless, as @Highlinder indicates, there's CityFibre infrastructure in your area, you shouldn't have been sold a 300Mbs service.

If there is CityFibre locally but not already at your address then a remote Openreach activation isn't appropriate at all.

@poohbear68 In that case you DO NOT need the old ADSL/VDSL cable with the purple ends on it as you are Fibre connected!

Re: Will grey cable work with new hub

My understanding is that Sky’s CityFibre products are limited to the 2.5Gb and 5Gb options. I would expect the 300Mb service to run over the existing OpenReach network.

Those are the newly announced premium offerings, and far faster than anyone needs: it just lets Sky claim back the title from EE ; )

Not really: the point of the Sky-CityFibre carriage deal is that it means Sky can offer FTTP in areas Openreach fibre hasn't got to yet (which is about 45% of UK addresses)

@Osmond The city Fibre is offered on all flavours off speeds via sky from the FF100 all the way up to the FF5Gb/s serious speed!
