Wifi6

Since "upgrading" to wifi6 before xmas, I have had nothing but issues! I have upgraded to the top broadband package. I now have a Sky Booster and 2 little plug in Sky booster pods. Wifi is shocking!! Prior to this we had no booster and paid for the middle broadband. We are constantly getting dropped signals, devices throughout the house are constantly disconnecting themselves. Diagnostic checks say all is OK. Engineer says give it a while. But from the 17th Dec to now paying over £40 a month. I don't think it's good enough!! We used to have full signal throughout the house/no issues gaming, etc now we're plagued with issues. Anyone experiencing similar or have any advice?

@L-Petts first point is to check the Sky hub is in the best position possible which is out in the open on a surface so its above obstructions like radiators if you need to you can use a longer ethernet cablecto connect the hub to the ONT. You should get 900Mb/s in the room the hub is positioned in..

The extender pods need a good signal from the hub and use a 5GHz signal for the backhaul so ensure they are spaced out as best you can typically in a hall or on a landing helps. If your home has solid walls the WiFi Max bundle is never going to work thst well as it requires the 5GHz signal to give the pods decent speeds.older systems used the 2.4GHz band as well.

In my own home diuecto its layout I found my old WiFi5 Deco system gave better spedds in more distant rooms. Realistically few decices can use 100Mb/s apart from when downloading so Inrejected the WiFi Max bundle and use that. You may find a third party WiFi solution better as I did.
