Wifi very slow/ keeps dropping off

Hi there,

I've recently moved over to sky in the last few months and have noticed that my WiFi is a lot slower upstairs than downstairs - I have connected a booster to it as I had one already but it hasn't helped. I work from home so this is a bit of an issue sadly.

we only live in a 2 bed house so I'm not sure that it is a distance from the router issue but wondered if you had any advice/ could take a look please!

many thanks,

Katherine

@KatherineSC a small property with solid internal walls can be more difficult to network than a large open plan home. Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surfsce then the only answer is additional wifi sources.

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.
