Wifi signal

My wifi connection is poor. I have bought a wifi extender for my shed but because my sky wifi is poor that is now not working? I have reset and turned it off but it still says poor signal.

An 'extender' located in the shed itself isn't going to help if the shed is out of wireless coverage anyway.

Typically the only viable location for such a device would be inside the main property but as close as possible to the external building, and preferably with line-of-sight through a window rather than a wall.

Re: Wifi signal

Thank you for this, the extender says you can be 300m away from the box, it has been working but I think my ski signal isn't great which is then making the rest not work.

What extender did you get? I would be very surprised if it says you can be 300m away. I suspect what it means is that it can provide coverage up to '300m' but not actually connect back to your main router 300m away.
