Wifi signal dropping

My wifi signal keeps dropping whilst using the laptop upstairs and the signal isn't as strong.

Can you help?

@FiSmiv  Do you have a black or white router from Sky?

It's white, but is in the cupboard under the stairs as its the only way to plug it into the fibre box

@FiSmiv  Is this because of the short ethernet cable that you are using to connect the router?

@FiSmiv  You can use a slightly longer cable if you want and thus take it out of that cupboard.
