Wifi problems

Since last autumn we have been experiencing intermittent issues with our wifi - devices are slow, the television buffers frequently or the programming options are not always available. At times it has fallen below your guaranteed provision but we have never received any compensation. We feel we are paying a lot for services that we cannot always access and that there must be some problem.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Mark270226

We are customers here so you are not talking to Sky.

The first thing to do is to run this line test to see if it finds any faults:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

If no issues are found try going through this to see if it helps:

https://www.sky.com/help/broadband/my-broadband-speed/improving-wi-fi-signal-to-my-devices/articles/...

If not and if you have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will supply up to 3 pods as you can read about here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.

Re: Wifi problems

Thanks for the response. It is very easy to lose the will to live calling Sky but I will try again!

Re: Wifi problems

@Mark270226 You should do as @caesarome has linked up, you could have anything wrong, bad line connection etc so do the Diagnostic check at least, no idea what connection type you have copper/fibre, will say my FF Full Fibre has never faultered once!
