Wifi problem

We have recently upgraded to the Sky max hub. We have FTTP and speed measures 148mps to the hib. When I am using a laptop in the room next to the hub I still get the same speed. Moving upstairs the speed drops significantly to about 25-30mps download while the upload speed is faster - about 30.5mps. We have optimised the poition of the router, checked the channel etc. Internet is still pretty useable upstiars but I do not understand why the uplaod is so much better than I would expect from the download speed. For comparison, before we had the maw hub, we were using a 4g router which had gave 50mps to the router in much the same location as the current Sky one and we were still getting 45mps upstairs where Sky drops down 80%. Is Sky doing something to limit throughput? I would accept dropout due to wall construction if it was consistent wouth outher routers but 10% reduction with one compared to 80% on the Sky one is a bit much.

We had powerline extenders with our previous Sky hub but were hoping to avoid that as we were told the max is 'state of the art'. Were we not limited by needing the landline, I would happily ditch the sky hub and find a better alternative.

Likely to just be a limitation of the Sky hub, describing it as state of the art is a joke its basic ISP kit with WiFi 6 built in. If you want high speeds throughout your whole house you'd be looking at using a 3rd party router/mesh solution.
