Wifi max pod

After much waiting i finally get my Max Hub with a pod, I called to add the wifi subscription to be told its £8 not £4 all because I have 2 skyQ  mini boxes... I am struggling to see the direct correlation as the mini boxes do not provide any wifi extender capability when you have the Max Hub, ie no mesh support....

WiFi Max subscription cost shouldn't be related to Q Mini box use at all, but £4 from a list price of £10 is a big reduction.

I'm unclear how you obtained a booster pod without WiFi Max being in place already.

Re: Wifi max pod

@Berti205 Do you already have sky Boost for the older system as you still need that if it includes the booster, link below about the types!

Re: Wifi max pod

Got sent a wireless booster ( last one on the list ) many many years ago and just went in the loft and found it.... god knows what wifi standard it is but getting 4Mb/s when I connected to the max hub...

Spoke to cancellations and I'm in my 31 days and they removed any charge if I move ISPs, now looking at vodafone with wifi7..  good deal as I'm a mobile customer...

Re: Wifi max pod

@Berti205 It's just one off those things, just be prepared to alter all off your Sky Q and Mini settings when you go to the other ISP, what works for one is not good for another! Sky Max and Sky Q are not made for each other, changes are required to be made, but as you are going no point in doing so now!

Re: Wifi max pod

Many thanks for your replies....
