Wifi keeps dropping out

My wifi keeps dropping in and out over the last few days. Service checker says everything is fine when I check. Is this an issue for everyone using Sky broadband currently?

It will be an issue with your connection otherwise this forum would be flooded by similar posts.

The first thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

If there isn't try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

If this is of no help give Sky a call to report it to them.

Sky is the ISP for something like six million households, so that's somewhat unlikely (because this forum would melt if even a tiny percentage of that number of people were to post)

The vast majority of faults occur in the Openreach circuits to individual addresses, and at any particular point in time the sheer scale of operations means thousands of Sky customers are going to be affected by those, as are thousands of customers of other ISPs.

My Internet has been going off all night. All the checks come back fine. Some thing must be wrong somewhere.

@andy3434 definitely something is wrong but nothing necessarily affecting more than a few lines but the heavy thundery showers are a possible cause. The service checker tells you the position when it last run you can click on it to get an updated position - it will tell you it cant complete if your connection is down - but unless Openreach have told Sky about an outage affecting your line they wont know why your hub isnt responding until you report the issue and they get it checked out.
