Wifi issue

Over the last few weeks I've been having wifi issues poor connection and dropping out, I've noticed as well on my boosters that only the 2.4ghz channel light is on the 5ghz channel is not , my tv also normally connects to the 5ghz channel but even that's been showing as connected to 2.4ghz , I've reset my router everyday and even factory reset it with no change , I've reset the boosters but them next to the router and reset them with the was button and still only the 2.4ghz channel is connecting the 5ghz still won't light up and no device can find the 5ghz channel, my speed also been slower my phone and tablet is averaging 80 -90 mbps download my tv been getting 49mbps download, where normal my phone and tablet use be about 298mbps, I run the service check and it says all fine , and followed the online instructions to check statues of wifi both are green and say on , but even my devices can't pick up the 5ghz channel, any advise what this could be thanks

@Toshiro73 what hub and boosters do you have? As you mention lights for each band I assume the boosters are not from Sky. One possibly explanation is if you have thecwhite Sky hub it can use higher channels in the 5GHz band which older boosters don't support and the hub offers no way of controlling the chznnels used.

It is always recommended to use matched boosters to the hub. So either usexan all Sky system or turn off the hub's wifi and usexa third party mesh system linked to the hub by Ethernet.

Re: Wifi issue

I have the white wifi max hub, I'm using my own extender which is tp-link re550 (ac1200), which as worked fine with it for last 8 months ,  I've even reset the extender and reset up with wps but still no 5ghz light, I've completely unplugged the extender and just use the router and. Still devices only find the 2.4ghz channel and only getting the lower speeds when running the speed tests I'm assuming the 5ghz channel is not working even though the app and test program saying all working.
