Wifi dropping out

We have just switched from BT broadband to Sky broadband, and we have the most expensive package. We have already got one booster plug issued, but the signal to the TV and to the whole house is really bad, and it is always dropping out. We have quite a few devices as we have kids with games consoles but this is the worst wifi we have ever had in the last 10 years. Is this the normal for Sky?

@fizsle82 Say what you had with BT service, and there equipment and booster's, and what you are now using with Sky service and equipment.

Ex EE using there EE Smarthub+ and back to the Sky SR203 myself both on a FF500 service.
