Wifi dropping frequently - Openreach been out

Hello,

We've had frequent problems with our Wifi dropping out and last Friday we without it for several hours. I somehow managed to speak with Sky that afteroon who ran some checks on the system and arranged for an Openreach engineer to visit on Saturday morning. He could find no issues, but said he thought the router was on its last legs and that he would state that on his report. After his visit though I got a text from Sky reporting that the fault was fixed! Since then, we're still having issues with the wifi though.

Here are the router stats.

@Emma+City  With the uptime on the router and all the others being around the same is it all devices that are dropping off the Wi-Fi or only one device that is doing this and hpw long have you had this router that Sky have given you for your broadband service.

Thanks for the response - it's all devices that drop out, including SkyQ mini boxes, laptops and phones. We're a family of 5, so do have a lot of devices connected. The router is at least 2 years old - it was not replaced when we upgraded in January.

Yes, we've had a few and only for a few seconds, so it's been better but not completely stopped

@Emma+City  Did you re-start the router or did it do itself?

Re: Wifi dropping frequently - Openreach been out

It did it itself. I have zero knowledge about technology so have no idea what these router stats mean!

@Emma+City  Can you keep a close eye on it when you have a drop if the router is re-starting or any of the lights change. This could indicate that there is an issue with the router if it keeps re-starting like this and so often.
