Wifi connection distance

My WiFi router is in the living room yet connection beyond 15 meters is nonexistent. I consider this unsatisfactory and it's causing a lot of inconvenience with my house security connection.

I need an engineer to come and inspect and make necessary adjustment.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of the legacy 'Broadband Boost' add-on and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell boosters except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Phoning Sky to go through a telephone diagnosis is required to have a booster or pod allocated to the account. Inevitably some  Sky booster hardware has leaked onto a certain auction site and elsewhere online, but Sky won't offer support with using these.

Confusingly the default 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' bundled with all new Sky Broadband orders where Boost or Max is not added by the customer doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above plus a one month broadband subscription refund.

@Shama17 you are not talking to Sky by posting in the forum. In practical terms 15m of clear air should not be an issue for a router but throw in some furniture, a few walls and people and then it can be as the laws of physics that dictate the way microwaves behave come into play. This is particularly true if your home has solid internal walls.

To get usable wifi throughout many homes, including my own, needs multiple wifi sources. You can either buy Sky's WiFi Max addon which can supply up to 3 extenders ir required and does offer engineers visits see  https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max Or buy your own kit if you prefer which is mu solution.
