Wifi calling / iPhone issue
Hi,
I live in an area with very poor mobile signal and need to use wifi calling. This has been the same wherever I have lived and I've never had an issue before. I moved to my current house in December and had Sky BB installed (last house was not Sky). Since I have been here I've had an issue using wifi calling. It's a 15 Plus.
When I try to make a call, my phone does nothing....it's like it's trying to make a connection but just doesn't. When people call me it goes straight to VM. Sometimes if I put airplane mode on and off again, it will then let me make a call. The next time someone calls me I'll get 20 seconds into a call and it cuts me off, and when I try and ring out again, it's stuck. I have to restart my phone, airplane mode on and off, sometimes this fixes it, sometimes not. It's so frustrating. My husband has two iPhones both using wifi calling here without problem (he's on the same phone network).
I can't call Sky (for obvious reasons), I tried chat, eventually got a human (I think) who 'tried some things' but eventually just said 'it's your phone' and ended the chat. It's not my phone, it's always worked on wifi calling before and does elsewhere, it's something to do with my connection to wifi.
Can anyone shed any light please?
Thanks!

Re: Wifi calling / iPhone issue
@kalouby if your iPhone can usexapps etc over WiFi the issue is likely to be setting on your phone. Various ideas online but first turn off WiFi assist at the bottom of your Mobile Settings as that can cause issues. Secondly turn WiFi calling off, power down and then restart tge phone and then switch WiFi calling bsck on. Oddly check thecdate and time settings are set automatically.
Hopefully those mightbhelp.

Re: Wifi calling / iPhone issue
@kalouby Not going to help to much with what you have, but same rely wholly on wifi calling, sky network mobile and BB also i am an Android user, works 95% off the time with hardly any issues with some exceptions those being keypad dial 1,2,3,4 etc to connect to option A,B,C,D that sometimes just get's not through, and suspect that is on the other side as not all systems cause it... Follow @Chrisee advice to see what works, been down the sky call myself and the reply was oops nothing to do with the networking side, open/closed the issue they did have a check though all through the mobile side so they said!
Had no issues using the sky supplied hub or my Asus as now connected, same effect on both!

Re: Wifi calling / iPhone issue
@JimM1 somewhat frustrating that you have Sky mobile and BB but they still won't help.
I can't get any more than a few minutes of a call (at best) and it stops working. Often just doesn't connect at all.
