Wifi Speed

My router is putting out 909mbs according to the sky app, yet my phone is only receiving approximately 400-500. I am sat in the same room as the router. This is also the same on other phones and a Macbook.

Why is the router output so much lower than what the hub receives?

Because WiFi is an inherently unreliable data exchange medium which is affected by numerous external factors, including what the neighbours are doing.

Numerous posts to this forum also suggest the white Max Hub underperforms in some properties.

Incidentally, the app is telling you the Hub is receiving that speed over optical fibre and ethernet cable.
