Wifi Extender Recommendations

I have used Extenders in a previous property to boost wifi coverage but that was with BT not Sky.

Current set-up is a Sky router (SR203) with adequate coverage in the main rooms but I want to extend range at rear of house into the garden.

I am looking for recommendations for a third party extender.  The caveat is that i do not want to risk distrubing the 2 x Sky Stream TV pucks that are currently connected.

Is my only realistic option to contract with Sky for their solution?

Stream pucks are WiFi 6 client devices and will talk to any wireless booster/extender (unlike Q television Mini boxes which won't do so)

Re: Wifi Extender Recommendations

@PaulG60 With the SR203 hub, you are really open to any, the Asus RP-AX58 work's but you may have to app set them up as the wps is flaky to match the same ssid name for seamless roaming, once you set the name no issues, then Any off the Tp-Link range should be fine, speed for speed you are looking at the Tp-Link RE300 onwards decide AC or AX operation but remember the SR203 is only an AC Device. Take a look say what you like and post it model type!

Re: Wifi Extender Recommendations

Went for a tp-link AC1750 dual band.  Set up via router WPS and it is working ok via  and _EXT SSID. I am getting coverage in the earlier dead spot so to that extent it is working.

might try at a later date to get a single SSID if it get fed up with its switching --- or non switching

Re: Wifi Extender Recommendations

@PaulG60 Easy to do, you just have to use the Tp-Link app or web manager and get rid off the _EXT then seamless roaming will work great! Good choice the Tp's are really stable and do work well!
