WiFi very poor in any other room apart from the living room where the sky wifi box is

Hi, 

my WiFi is very poor in any other room apart from where the ski WiFi box is. Sometimes I can not connect at all in the other rooms. I have run a test and is says everything is connected as it should be but this problem persists. I did not have this trouble with my previous WiFi which was in exactly the same place. Please can you help me?

Thats just like mine. Ive just changed from BT, big mistake, and WiFi is worse than before. The technical guys were very helpful and even sent a new router within 24 hours but simply said I'd need to upgrade to their Max WiFi  , for just £10 a month ongoing...
