WiFi strength poor after upgrade
Hello,
My WiFi was recently upgraded with an engineer coming out to visit. There doesn't appear to be a problem with the connection as all lights on the box are green, but the signal is very poor. It is operating at 80/150, which is way below. Coverage in the house is also very poor despite using two booster pods. The signal frequently drops out, even if relatively near to the router. Can you send an engineer to investigate or suggest alternative actions to fix this? Perhaps it needs a new router box or something?

Re: WiFi strength poor after upgrade
@Onlyonetom123 you are not talking to Sky by posting in this forum. As you have WiFi extenders you have bought Sky's WiFi Max thst guarantees WiFi speeds of a minimum of 25Mb/s in every room in your home. If you are not getting those minimums then Sky will send out an engineer to try and achieve thst level.
The issue is the equipment can only achieve what the layout and construction of your home permits. In older British homes with solid internal walls thst is limited. In a few homes Sky will fail even with 3 properly placed extenders hopefully your's is not one of those.
If you want higher speeds these are probably possible but you would need to buy your own equipment which can get pricy. Work out what you need in each room as a guide few domestic and business apps can use 100Mb/s streaming UHD TV uses around 30Mb/s. My own cheapo system gets me a minimum of 150Mb/s in the most distant room.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
