WiFi still not working

Moved into house in November. House originally didn't have WiFi so signed up to Sky as part of package. Terrible signal, constantly cutting out. Three engineers out and eventually new cable was laid from road to house. Signal still bad but now the MySky app no longer offers option to request engineer. App says good service although it's speed below guaranteed amount by about 10mb. Needs an engineer again. No option to request one.... Not sure why it is pushing me to post this issue on a public forum?!

@SaintPip Are you seeing that speed lower on the 30 day history off the service checker!

Re: WiFi still not working

Yes, it's saying the daily average is 45mb but I work from home and getting regular drop outs during teams calls during the day and it's terrible past 10pm. Two days ago my average was 10.5mb so I don't know where they are getting their figures from....

Re: WiFi still not working

@SaintPip Speed varies with the network load, sky's speed test is once per day to the hub, what you are doing or pulling inbetween times also has an effect to your total bandwidth and as you are on a fttc connection can quickly be used up!

My FF500 drops as low as 200Mb/s when the network gets real busy!

Re: WiFi still not working

So when the app says there is a problem with the Broadband and when I get a daily amount below the guaranteed speed - that's just unfortunate?

It's just getting a bit daft now and, no offence meant, the customer service appears now to rely on other customers to explain in public forums for them?

Re: WiFi still not working

@SaintPip Here is the sky help info all about speeds. Take a read! If you are home alone, network is light and you have say a 45Mb/s fttc copper connection, external network is not busy then you have access to the full lot! The full is not a 100% all the time / everytime networks just do not work that way!
