Can I change my router settings from 2.4ghz to 5.0ghz - as I have a new household appliance that requires 5.0ghx to connect

All current Sky Hub models broadcast the same network name on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands.

Generally speaking you wouldn't want to have 5Ghz only because many devices require 2.4Ghz.
