WiFi is useless and won’t connect.

Since having my wifi I haven't been able to use the tv upstairs or WhatsApp. It seems the connection is slow, intermittent and not strong enough to reach upstairs. 
I was asked to call to fix it at home after an engineer came out and the problem is still not resolved.
