WiFi connection
Hello, I'm having trouble with my wifi, on my router the internet is not lit up green, it's blank, it goes orange and then there is nothing, and the internet keeps going off, I've reset the wifi box 3 times this morning and still having issues.
many thanks

Re: WiFi connection
same here, sky just ordered a new router 4.2, so same as the one its replacing. Hope this works. On this, is the new white max hub better if you're still on broadband and not fibre?

'better' for what?
The Max Hub is specified for WiFi 6 and we're told can handle more client devices than previous models.
Other benefits (booster 'pod' loan, Parental Controls and 'enhanced security') come from the Wifi Max subscription add-on service, not the Hub hardware.

Re: WiFi connection
I need a reply that helps the average household and not someone that has a clue what wifi 6 means or client hubs!
Is the new hub better at getting a good wifi signal to all your devices? Is it worth paying another £8/month and why do you have to pay a monthly fee?
Virgin is looking good about now!

Possibly, if those devices are also WiFi 6. Repeated posts in this forum suggest some users experience poorer wireless coverage with Max compared to previous generation hardware.

Probably not for FTTC
and why do you have to pay a monthly fee?
Because that's the Sky business model

WiFi is inherently somewhat complex and rather unpredictable: there's really no way around that.
