WiFi Dropping or Not Found

Hello,

I am looking for advice on how to strengthen my WiFi. I live in a small village so no fibre sadly, my phone line is located under my stairs in the hallway. We have an old property so I'm suspecting the walls are blocking much of the signal, but I'm also finding I'm losing connection when on work Teams calls multiple times per day.

Due to the location of my phone socket, i cant move the router very far. I can place my router a cabinet against the wall under the staircase but I find I can't get a signal to the side of the house behind the wall (living room). It's better if I place it on the floor as the signal moves down the corridor better, but I'm finding my signal drops multiple times a day when I work at the opposite side of the house where my office is.

I used to use power line adapters in my old house however have been advised not to due to having an EV charger? The electrics in the house are pretty old too.

Would wifi boosters help if placed either side of the corridor ? One in living room and one in the office perhaps, then keep the router on the floor? I know we're advised not too, but I don't have the luxury of moving it in the open on a surface as the signal doesn't seem to be strong enough to make it around the corner and down the corridor.

Appreciate any guidance as it's really impacting my ability to work from home.
