Wi fi issues

We're new to Sky and only had your services since 13th October. Since this date the WiFi connection has fallen out 4 times with last night being the worst where there was a loss of service from around 9:30pm. This morning I've had to use my personal mobile data for hotspotting to connect to several devices. Very poor seen as we've only had it 10 days.it keeps falling out.

Re: Wi fi issues

your not alone, i have had the same problem but been with them 12 years i havr had to unfortunately cancel and move to new provider openreach were sent out to check crackling on the phone and internet constantly dropping turns out the copper wire lotrally broke in her hand as soon as she picked it she bodged it best she could but for last 7 months ive had nothing but problems with sky dropping to 900 kb download and 2.1 upload at the lowest and being charged 48 pound for this, apparantly superfast lool,

Other day i had enough and cancelled download speed is constantly dropping to 6.9 download at most and upload 2.7 that is all ive been getting and i am supposed to be getting 35 download and 7 upload which clearly isnt happening they are aware of the coroded copper wire and have done nothing about it,  hence forced my hand to cancel which is probably the best thing ive ever done unfortuantely i cant get fiber in my culdisac but few feet away on actual street do get it., but because of the poor service for the last 7 months my hand was forced to cancel and go with another provider im sorry your going through this and i hope you can get this resolved better than what help i got customert services us apalling.

Re: Wi fi issues

@trina31 Was this the external drop cable to your home, why did OR not just put a new cable in for you?

Re: Wi fi issues

The even more frustrating thing is they don't follow up! I've got an engineer booked to come our, the service fell out overnight and I had to reconnect again this morning meaning my personal mobile data was being used up! Then seen a text from Sky saying your issue seems to have been fixed! So that means they won't be doing anything further! Like...seriously!!! Aarrggghh at least call me! Instead I get sent a useless 'help' link which is even more frustrating as it just sends you around in loops and you can never speak to anyone!

Re: Wi fi issues

Because their too lazy clearly soon as I changed over cancelled and went with bt they noticed the problem straight away and fixed it basically whole wire from the green box to the home had to be replaced sky were aware of this and told about the issue by openreach did they do anything no course not even though they had the proof this was the last straw for me with them and I cancelled had enough of their rude customer services literally saying to me well what do you want me to do about yeah you read right and I've haf no end of issues with them cancelling was the best thing I ever did haven't had any issues since, their complete and utter rubbish unless you have fiber going to your home in your area don't even bother bit sick and tired of their Internet consistently dropping to 9000kbs yeah you read right changeling to by was the best choice I ever made and no problems at all and way cheaper

Re: Wi fi issues

@trina31 The whole crux is that OR control the cable from you to the street cabinet, they should have made the decission to just get it done rather than fob you off, sky cannot twist the arm off getting OR to do anything apart from let them know you still have an issue!
