Wi-fi Stability Issues

We recently (Tues 27th) got sky broadband installed. We're using a Hub Max (white) through a fibre line. We get the broadband speeds advertised to the router although the Wifi stabiliy is abysmal. Constant connection drops even when I isolate 2.4GHz / 5GHz. I had no stability issues with virgin media's router they provided. I can't find a contact number to request an engineer to come look but this router's performance is appalling. It's probably no wonder I am provided constant adverts for "wifi boosting" equipment from Sky.

Try running this line test to see if it finds any faults:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

Re: Wi-fi Stability Issues

I have same issue as Branden that posted I just upgraded from my old sky broadband to the new fibre 300 and i have to say my broadband  and wifi is shockingly worse off  - i run the online test and it says all is good but its just simply not as good as before!! My fire sticks are constantly  freezing, I work from home and pages take significantly longer to load than they did beofre on my old sky broadband and my wi fi to my top floor is shcoking  - when i was able  to finally speak to someone at sky regarding my boradband he told me that its standard practice to reset my router once a month  - never heard somethign so rediculous  in all my years and i told him so  - never had to do it with my old sky router EVER!!  My call was then disconnected so I didnt have the enegry to call back again!!
