Wi-Fi poor performance

Today we installed our new Wi-Fi Max hub. Throughout the day we had had speeds as low as 20mps. The fastest being 40mps. 
We were sold the Max Hub because the Customer Care agent said it would be faster and stronger.

Please can you check on your end why we now have a worse performing service.
