Wi-Fi disconnects all the time

I've had sky broadband for around a year now since we moved into this new house and very intermittently the Wi-Fi will drop out several times a day for a few minutes, then go weeks without any issues then start the dropping out again for no apparent reason. we've tried disconnecting the box from power to let it reboot but no luck.
