Wi-Fi Max Hub and Pod Activation

Felt forced to upgrade to WiFi Max due to slow speeds since upgrading to Gigafast and the old black router not able to deliver those speeds. Since getting the WiFi Max hub, happily I am now getting the advertised speeds! However, the hub will not register in the MySky App. This means I cannot register the pod for the area that needs it etc. I've seen loads of similar posts here, being told to wait 24 hours to no avail and requiring an engineer to push a firmware update which seems overkill. Spoke to Sky who obviously just told me to wait. I've deleted the app, held WPS button for 30 seconds to reset and try again, scanned the QR code for setup, but always displays 'we're having trouble activating your hub' after about 30 minutes. Does anyone have any recent experience of this?
