I switched from Virgin to sky broadband last month and even though the connecting speed to my house is just over 100Mbps the speed throughout the house is about 70% lower than what I had with Virgin. This is due to the quality of the router. I saw threads in the sky community dating back from 2022 that mentioned issues with supply due to the globalsituation which obviously still has an impact.
Does anyone in this community know sky's plans or how to communicate with their customer service? So far, I have only been able to communicate with a bot which was a v poor experience.

The Max Hub dates from 2023, while the previous releases were
2019 Sky Broadband Hub
2016 Sky Q Hub
2013 Sky Hub
Those intervals are probably a clue (allowing for the extra year between 2019 and 2023 which might well be pandemic-related)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: When do sky plan to launch new WiFi routers?
Note that Sky currently cannot compete with EEs headline 1.6Gbs service because the Max Hub has a gigabit WAN connection: conceivably this could be motivation for releasing a new model rather more rapidly.

Re: When do sky plan to launch new WiFi routers?
Thanks TimmyBGood, so from what you're saying it could be 2026 before there is an upgrade.
That's disappointing to read.

Re: When do sky plan to launch new WiFi routers?
Quite possibly, yes, unless Sky feels a pressing need to launch 2.5Gbs and WiFi 7 hardware earlier to appear to be competing in that rather niche market segment.

Re: When do sky plan to launch new WiFi routers?
For not a lot of money you can invest in your own router which will be better than most, if not all ISP supplied ones. Then no matter which ISP you go with you will have a good router to use.
