This is a customer helps customer based forum. I’m afraid you aren’t addressing Sky Customer Services on here. What time slot have you been given for the visit? Some of the work may be carried out away from your premises and the actual connection could then be any time up until midnight. It may help if you tell us what provision you are getting.

Hi,
The appointment is between 8AM-1PM Today. But still I am waiting for the call from the engineer. Any update when the engineer will come and install the broadband connection?
Thanks

Hi,
I have received through Parcel with Sky Broadband Hub 2days before.
Some wire installation done from outside home some days before.
Now as part of the Appointment I am waiting for the Broadband connection establishment from home.
Thanks.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf the wires are coming into your home have you tried connecting it up to see if it works as the job to connect you to Sky will be done at your local exchange so nobody might need to visit unless the wiring work has got to be completed.

If that's the first stage of an FTTP installation then there's still the second stage to go, and that requires attendance at the address to fusion splice an optical pigtail and bring this inside the property up to an Openreach ONT

OK: that means you're definitely waiting for installer attendance, which might be either Openreach or Sky personnel. Typically there aren't many fusion-splicing trained staff in any particular area so if one job over-runs then getting to the next one is inevitably delayed, and if they are off work for some reason then everything gets postponed.

Hi,
I understand your point. But I have taken off from office and waiting for your engineer come to home.
Please the arrange the engineer based on appointment time.
Thanks.

That's the ideal: in the real world things just don't always work like that. If the local trained personnel are busy on other jobs then they can't be with you, and second-stage FTTP installation is a skilled and somewhat delicate task.
