Having to wait 6 weeks for broadband to be installed why is this ?

@Nel1444 generally the longer delays are on jobs that require some preparation work. This isnt that unusual if the supply is underground and can involve a number of steps. You can get an ideacif you enter your full address into this checker Openreach Checker
If you want help,understanding the output post a screenshot of the full table and the first three lines on the notes sfter removing thecreferencecto your address

What have Sky said about the delay? Outside work needing to be completed first is a possibility.

I phoned and was told they didn't know why it was such a wait time was just told an engineer will come to my house on the date given

@Nel1444 Is this a full install of fibre broadband? Is there outside work that needs done first?

Yeah full fibre installation. I'm not sure if work outside needs to be done

@Nel1444 You can look on your order it will tell you what next steps are, once that work is done then the order goes to the next part of the install.

Just says waiting on engineers visit which isn't until 30th October
