Virgin media 'awaiting trigger switch'

Hi,

Does anyone know how long this normally takes? VM are telling me they can't disconnect my service without a so called 'trigger switch' on their system. Sky services are already up and running and they won't take my word for it when I tell them this!

Thanks

Virgin involvement in the one-touch-switch system is only a month old: unfortunately glitches are probably going to occur.

Re: Virgin media 'awaiting trigger switch'

Same thing my side! Virgin saying sky need to resolve it with trigger once sky is live and sky saying they've done everything properly their end. I had to call Virgin directly, manually cancel, with a new 30 day notice period. Sky have said they will cover the cost of the additional billing period.

Wouldn't surprise me if Virgin are taking advantage of the new process to play naughty here. Extract another month from committed to leaving customers and Sky pay the compensation bill!

Re: Virgin media 'awaiting trigger switch'

@Koptrader did Virgin honour you 30-day cancellation notice?

We moved to Sky from Virgin, broadband up and running no issues but phone line not ported over. I'm on the phone to Sky almost daily for an update but no one knows what's happening. Because Sky hasn't triggered the completion of the service, Virgin will not disconnect. I don't know how long this will go on for but I am now paying for both services which is really unfair.

Thinking of giving my 30 day notice to Virgin but not sure if they'll accept it as they have to use the One Touch Switch thing
