Very very poor. Service from Sky

My broadband is very slow always with a guarantee speed of 11mbs, the speed dropped down to 3mbs a month ago and it took 3.5 weeks to be resolved for this i was given £10 of my bill, f 4 engineers have been out to fix the problem It has been 1 week since the last engineer and now the seed has dropped AGAIN, spent over an hour yesterday talking to sky. And they are going to send an engineer out to fix the problem. This morning, I get a message saying, the problem had been fixed. Well, I can assure you that the problem has not been fixed.\nBut it is impossible to message sky back to say so.\nWhat am I supposed to do????.

Unfortunately that's a really poor speed even for a legacy copper circuit, and would tend to suggest the line is highly vulnerable to further degradation.

If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community, which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here.

The obvious thing to do is call Sky again and explain it hasn't been resolved.

Sky will allow you to leave ETC free if it drops below the 'guaranteed' limit for 3 days running although given how poor your connection is I don't think that would be an issue anyway. You need to investigate Altnets such as Virgin Media or perhaps satellite or mobile 4G/5G broadband alternatives if there's no plans to upgrade your line to FTTP.

Probably not: being a good engineer he'd know that using CCA was always a bad idea...
