Very slow wifi

My WiFi is very slow or non-existent, I live on my own and don't stream anything or download anything. I browse the internet that is about it and even that is very very slow. 

is there someone that could help me?

@Lynn06Is this everywhere in your house or is it just when you are further from the router.  What about when you are close to the router, is it faster?  Can you run a speed test.
