Very slow Superfast
Superfast broadband is unacceptably slow, just under 60 Mb/s.
Fibre is not an option as it cannot be physically installed.
Any advice or similar experiences please ?
How have you resolved similar issues, if at all ?
Thank you

Re: Very slow Superfast
@mjhb the speed a partial fibre line can deliver depends on the length if the copper cable running to cabinet that serves your line. It is simple physics this is one of the reason for the investment in fitting full fibre but as that is being financed commercially Openreach and the other networks prioritise short runs. There is public money for expanding the networks but if you get 60Mb/s you are unlikely to be in a target area
There are options assuming no fibre networks pass your property. The cheapest and simplest is mobile broadband but obiviously depends on the mobile signal near your home. Starlink which uses low orbiting satellites is an option for almost 100% of homes assuming they can affird it. Other similar services are due soon so perhaos prices will drop.
One further thought is that the idea modern life cannot cintinue if you dont have at least 1Gb/s is a myth. In practice frew apps can use more than 100Mb/s and with some planning a stable 60Mb/s connection need not be limiting if you schedule diwnllads over night and you are not raising a gaggle of teenagers.
