Very poor coverage over Christmas

Since a long  time before Christmas we have been experiencing slow internet speed on both wireless and hardwired devices.

having spent quite a while in the never ending 'check this, check that' loops it has no effect. So I am currently  researching for an alternative provider.

no matter what checks I run, your system are more like an animation that an actual check.

have followed all advice and instructions but our internet freezes and slows down randomly.

 

if you have any quick fixes I am prepared to try them, if not I will be looking elsewhere

What is your expected speed that Sky quote & what speeds are you seeing via ethernet?

I pay for full 900, but over the Christmas period over 50% of the time it was 0, as no devices could connect enough to even register on either ookla speed test or enough connection to connect t mysky even.

turning WiFi off and on again on a device ''sometimes' gave 30 seconds+- usually not.

 

Then occasionally I would get 300-400 proving there was a connection available

Sorry, slightly misread your question, but it makes no difference, WiFi and ethernet were the same

Seems like there could be two different issues going on here.

Do ethernet devices suffer the issues of not being able to connect at all or is it just WiFi?
