VPN connection

I was wondering if anyone had a solution to the new Sky Max Hub (white) blocking connection to a work VPN. I work from home and thankfully my works IT people installed a smart VPN to get around this issue. However, my wife's company's IT department couldn't do this. We have contacted Sky, filled in the required VPN details and reset our router yet she still cannot work from home. I'm not sure what Sky have changed to make the connection impossible but we are paying for a service which is not working. Does anyone have a suggestion? (Yes we have thought about changing providers). Thanks.
